As our vision and values state, we value the unique identity, heritage, land and place of our council area and acknowledge that our story is not just one, but many. The Barossa Story is a journey that dates from First Nations through to European settlement and the Barossa as we know it today. The people who have called the Barossa home share an enduring connection to land and place. To honour this connection, we have developed a visual storyboard in the customer service entrance of our principal office located at Nuriootpa. The hero images are well-known local figures who embody this theme and are recognisable as custodians of the land and place that is the Barossa: To view the artwork, visit our principal office located at 43-51 Tanunda Road, Nuriootpa.
