About this venue
The Mali Brae team went above and beyond anything we imagined. We knew it would be fabulous, but we didn’t realise how fabulous. We envisaged our wedding being intimate. Our families combined were pushing 400 (not even including friends or semi-distant relatives!) and it just wasn’t us to have a showy event and be on display. Our families combined were pushing 400 (not even including friends or semi-distant relatives!) and it just wasn’t us to have a showy event and be on display. The engagement bliss fell a bit when excitement turned to stress as we realised how big the guest list was going to be. So we had only the nearest and dearest: 38 people including the bridal party and it was the best decision ever. We were able to speak with all of our guests beyond “thanks for coming, enjoy the meal”, and even though the farm is beautifully large, Mali Brae made our small wedding work like a dream with a gorgeous long table in Augustine’s Room. We first came to visit Mali Brae 12 months earlier. It was the first venue we visited and we didn’t end up visiting any others. From the onset, the planning was made so easy with the planning space that included recommendations (including florals by Blush and Bloom, and photography by Thomas Stewart), concepts, and styles. The communication throughout was excellent with notifications and updates – something we were desperately grateful for given how much goes into a wedding, how much you forget, and how fast the time flies when planning!
